Editing the Delivery Method of Your Programs

Email, Teams, Slack

Arsen offers several methods to deliver lessons in your awareness programs:

  • by email (default)

  • via Teams

  • via Slack

You may use only one method or combine several to maximize deliverability and employee engagement.


1 – Objectives

This article explains how to:

  • modify the delivery method of lessons in an Awareness Training program

  • enable and configure Teams and Slack integrations

  • choose one or multiple delivery methods

  • customize notifications for the selected method


2 – Prerequisites

  • Have admin rights to activate Teams or Slack integrations for your organization

  • Have the required permissions in Arsen to enable integrations


3 – Accessing delivery method settings

3.1 – Opening the Settings menu

  • Click your company logo in the top-right corner

  • Select Settings

3.2 – Accessing Delivery Preferences

  • Go to Course SettingsDelivery Preferences

  • Click Settings in the menu that appears

4 – Available delivery methods

4.1 – Using email delivery (default)

By default, lessons are delivered exclusively via email.

In Delivery Preferences, only Email is selected.

Important points:

  • Emails are sent from [email protected]

  • If using IP whitelisting, whitelist the arsen.co domain to ensure deliverability

  • If using API whitelisting (Microsoft Email Delivery or Google Email Delivery):

    • open General Settings

    • edit the sender and sending email

    • select a domain from your organization to increase employee trust

4.2 – Enabling Microsoft Teams delivery

To deliver lessons via Microsoft Teams:

  • Click Enable Integration on the Teams tile in Delivery Preferences

  • Get redirected to the Integrations tab in Settings

  • Activate the Teams integration

  • Return to Delivery Preferences and enable Teams delivery

This sends lessons directly as private Teams notifications.

4.3 – Enabling Slack delivery

To deliver lessons as private Slack bot messages:

  • Click Enable Integration on the Slack tile

  • Get redirected to the Integrations tab

  • Activate the Slack application

  • Return to Delivery Preferences and enable Slack delivery

This sends lessons directly as private Slack notifications.

6 – Managing and combining delivery methods

Once integrations are enabled:

6.1 – Selecting the desired methods

  • Return to Delivery Preferences

  • Select one or more delivery methods:

    • Email

    • Teams

    • Slack

📚 Note
If no method is selected, email remains the default.

You may deliver:

  • only via Teams

  • only via Slack

  • or combine email + notifications

6.2 – Customizing notifications

  • Open the lesson editor by clicking Edit, then select the language you want to edit

  • Access the tabs allowing customization of Teams or Slack notification text

You can then customize the notification messages your collaborators receive, depending on the delivery method.
